A 66-year-old man died in a snowmobile crash on Newfoundland's Northern Peninsula over the weekend, say police.

In a news release sent Tuesday, the RCMP said the man was travelling alone in the remote back country near Eddies Cove West on Friday evening, about 30 kilometres east of Port au Choix.

Two snowmobilers came across the overturned snowmobile and found the man unresponsive underneath theā€¦
